The potluck lunch will feature a catered main course; donations of $10 per person, $25 max per family requested. Please bring a side dish to share.

God Our Great Creator.
With A Focus On MIRACLES!

Creativity is at the heart of Art Camp VBS, so this curriculum embraces what is the central creative nature of God Our Great Creator. The week moves from the very beginning of creation to God's call to all believers to participate in God's on-going re-creation of all things. Because miracles are so central to creation and the Miracle of Christ is central to our faith - miracles serve as the primary theme, present through every lesson and activity. Campers also experience Bible stories tailored to help them better understand the God who created them. Campers will be placed in a group based on age/grade level, and each day groups will visit 5 different studios.

FOR MORE INFORMATION: ARTCAMPVBS@STJAMES-CONROE.ORG.

Cooking Studio: With a range of colorful and kid-friendly ingredients, campers follow recipes to create snacks that reflect their daily Bible themes – and taste good, too! (Recipes for our snacks will be in your campers take home bag on Friday of VBS so that they can make them again at home).

Crafts Studio: Using clay, paint, tie-dye and a variety of other artistic media, campers produce sculptures, paintings and other fun creations. (Campers will take all projects home with them on Friday).

Creative Movement Studio: Campers will be encouraged to move freely between stations that encourage self-expression and creativity through various movement such as ribbon dancing, balloon art, bubble painting, water gun painting, light-saber making and much more. (Silliness highly encouraged).

iWonder Studio: Bible stories come to life as campers are faced with age-appropriate problem solving challenges, team building games, and other tactile experiences that remind them that God continues to work in their daily lives no matter who or where they are, no matter what is happening around them, and no matter what they are going through.

Music Studio: Campers enjoy learning new songs by playing a range of instruments and musical games that really keep them singing, dancing, and moving. (Parents/families will be invited to attend our Friday performance at the end of Art Camp VBS to see their campers perform their newly learned songs and to see a photo/video slideshow of some of the week's best captured moments. A photo album of all photos taken throughout the week AND the link to the video slideshow will also be emailed to parents after camp on Friday).
